Well, I think it is totally appropriate that the first piece of art that I completed this year is a lovely little rabbit. He is for the Year of the Rabbit show at Studio Todorovic in Art Central. The show will be opening Feb 3rd (which is also First Thursday!) and I must say, I am rather proud of this little guy.

So I decided to put them up on my wall in a very special way. I took an old embroidery hoop and a lace doily that I found at a thrift shop, put it all together, and I ended up with this! I might still change a few things, or add some more.....we shall see! It is kind of hard to see, but the wood grain is really incredible on the back trophy mount.
